At various times during his long and illustrious career as a dog trainer, Chris Banke has done things above and beyond simply training dogs. For example, there was the time when Chris and his dog, “Dino von der Maineiche,” or Dino for short, received a trial score of 297, which was the second highest Schutzhund/IPO III in the United States. Then, there is the time Chris Banke and Dino were featured in the Oscar nominated movie, Frozen River, where Dino played a guard dog.

Chris Banke's career features a high degree of versatility; he is able to train any dog, at any level, for anything. That means he can train a dog to compete in a show, or train them to fulfill a professional need, like law enforcement or the film industry. Chris has been training dogs since he was just 15. That was when he founded the Algemeiner Schutzhund Club and became a talented apprentice for some of the best and most experienced trainers. One in particular encouraged him to focus on German Shepherds, which changed everything for him. He was so good, he's opened his very own dog training facility in northern Vermont while he was still only 19. That facility is still going strong.
